How I Lost My Weight

Being over weight has been a problem for me over the last 20 years. It wasn’t until I turned 28 that I noticed my hips getting a little bigger, and then every year after that the lbs just kept slowly coming on. I gained the most weight when I had my little girl. I must have held onto 30lbs after her (she was worth it though).

After going on some diets here and there and losing 5 to 10lbs sometimes, I decided I wanted to change my life for good. I had finally gotton the motivation I needed to lose weight. I was just tired of being the overweight person that I was and after seeing the people on biggest loser lose their weight I decided I would do it too.

Using A Plan

I started by looking at a number of different diet plans and exercise plans. I also looked into some weight loss pills because I had some success with them in the past and it would help my motivation to see the weight coming off faster.

The diet I chose dealt with eating fewer calories and eating more lean protein. It also incorporated eating at least 3 servings of fruit and vegetables a day. So with each meal I had one serving of fruit and one serving of vegetables. I also tried to eat healthy meat such as broiled chicken and salmon. I would mix food up here and there. I tried to avoid fast food whenever possible. If I did eat fast food a stuck to my rule of having vegetables and fruit with my meal (fries didn’t count for vegetables).

The work out plan I chose had to do with a mix of aerobic exercise, cardio, and weight lifting. I decided to include weight lifting because of all the stories I had read about how many calories you can burn weight lifting and because an increase in muscle mass will help increase the amount of calories burned each day even when you don’t work out.

The last thing I used to help me with losing weight was some weight loss pills. I decided to go with a little more expensive one because I worry about what some of the lower end ones have in them and because with this diet pill most of the ingredients had backing from studies done at high end universities. I only ended up using my weight loss pill for three months. After I stopped using it my weight loss slowed a little bit but I didn’t start to gain weight at least. I’m the type of person that usually wouldn’t recommend taking a weight loss pill all of the time, but taking one here and there to help you get started on a weight loss plan isn’t a bad thing.
